John W. Roulac will be talking at the Provender Alliance about “The Ever-Evolving Landscape of Industrial Hemp.”

This panel of long-time activists and industry leaders will discuss the long road to allowing hemp farming on U.S. soil once again. The latest Farm Bill that was passed included an amendment allowing states who have passed legislation legalizing hemp farming to grow the crop for research and development purposes. This is after over 50 years of a ban on hemp farming. The amendment makes it possible for farmers in Kentucky and Colorado o begin growing the crop legally this year. Our panelists will talk about the latest progress on policy change on state and federal levels, the growth of the industry to over $450 million annually, and what they see as next steps for this thriving industry and pioneering movement.
